The Marriage: Twittistry.org Integration

I do believe God is calling for us to simplify our lives so we can spend more quality time with him; I’m determined to do just that. Across the various social networks, blogs and face to face settings many who want more of Jesus are feeling the need to slow down, take a deep breath and tweek a few things to devote more time to strengthening their relationship with Jesus.
I'm excited to announce that our Twittistry.org blog is being integrated with this blog—I know it’s not conventional but that’s how it is when you’re unboxed. iHeart Jesus and feel him tugging at my heartstring for me to embrace my next level...I'm on my way.
Traditionally you just wouldn’t have a blog that’s unniched but when you really think about it it is niched and the niche is Jesus. So our http://www.twittistry.blogspot.com/  is officially retired as of this post and all twittistry.org post will be highlighted here. Rest Peacefully http://www.twittistry.blogspot.com/.

Did Jesus Just Say Blah, Blah, Blah?

I confess I’m guilty of entering the Blah Zone—my husband and I were talking and as I told him about family matters I came to a point in the conversation where I said “and blah blah”…he responded what, just two blahs? Two blahs is more than enough don’t you think? But I realized he was right, what happened to the third blah? Usually we hear blah, blah, blah.

Blah is pompous or pretentious talk or writing---a filler. It made me think of the Lord and how he never enters the blah zone. When we share something with him we’ll never hear him say “blah, blah, blah”. Don’t you just love that Jesus never enters the blah zone, I do.

Prioritize Your Priorities!!!!

Let’s see it’s been umm about two weeks or so since I have blogged and I’m working on a few ‘projects’ that have captured my attention. My most pressing project is me…yes me. Hard to imagine,huh? But how else am I going to get the time I need with God? It would be great if we could just go through our day to day routine and do all of the things we normally do and build an intimate relationship with God without ever praying, studying the word or being strengthened by fellowship with others but it just doesn’t work that way. And it never will.

There are some new things on the horizon for me. In the back of my mind I need to finish my Twittistry.com writing project; it’s in the back of my mind but I need it to get to the front and that’s been a challenge. I’m launching a camera club at my church, that’s going to be great, I have a passion for photography and just never get tired of freezing moments with my Canon. Okay, I guess I didn’t need to say the brand name of the camera but I’m a dedicated Canon user so I plugged it—and now we move on. LOL. I’m preparing a Positioning4Purpose teaching series to present at my church –Shabach Sanctuary in Dallas and loving it. That’s just a few things but my main thing is drawing closer to God….

We can do lots of activities and have lots of “stuff” going on but maintaining the delicate balance of building our relationship with God and maintaining a spiritual foundation that is UNcracked is necessary. I’m playing catch up on some things and wanted to share this Tiney Thought with you….. if your relationship with God is being pushed back by your activities it’s to regroup, shift and get a new strategy. When Kicking Is Not An Option

I had an interesting conversation recently, it went something like this” nothing seems to bother you, you might be dying on the inside but if someone needs you, you’re there for them… most people, when something happens they have to shut down and regroup but you’re okay”. Interesting!

2007-2009 has acquainted me with pain and silent screams that I didn’t even know existed. As I continue to walk with God I continue to experience new dimensions that require new wine and for me to be a new wineskin.

It is never my desire to give the impression that I’m superwoman dipped in an armor of steal, I’m not. I have and continue to learn how to receive the innerhealing and refreshing I need to keep moving forward…sometimes it requires a break and at other times taking a break actually ‘breaks’ us down.

I explained that I hurt like everyone else. I feel like everyone else feels. I have learned to take times and seasons of ‘restoration, refreshing and renewal’ as needed and I have learned that sometimes we take spiritual breaks and sabbaticals that aren’t needed. Knowing when to stop and when to keep pressing forward is critical.

One of the things I stress as I mentor women across the globe is to choose your FALLOUTS. I know it’s sounds a little silly but you can’t fall out and have a pity party over everything in LIFE and God doesn’t mind if you have a tantrum occasionally but don’t stay there. As we continue to grow in God we come to understand that it's beneficial to learn how to embrace the good times and the bad times..how to abase and abound and that kicking and screaming in the bad won’t change the situation. Replace that tantrum with prayer and faith…watch God change you IN the situation.

Trust me its not that I’m superwoman; It’s that he keeps changing me IN my difficult situations, he keeps gracing me. He lets me kick and scream when necessary and strengthens me to PRESS forward when kicking is not an option.

SO anyway, that’s just another tiney thought. Choose your FALLOUTS!

Philippians 4:12-13 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

He's Doing It!

We are watching God do what only He can do; healing the sick, lifting heavy hearts and speaking life to lifeless situations!

I've been watching the many prayer request come in from all over the place, there is one thing we all have in common--needs. Everyone needs something. No, I'm not speaking of the things we want but those 'needed' things. And of course our needs are as diverse as we are but no matter what we need the source of getting that need met is Jesus. He's in the need meeting buiness..whether you need something for your business, you life or family, your spirit, soul or body know that God has your back.

Yes, I know it appears he is not going to do it or that it is taking a long time but be patient, it's coming! There are some things we need done that only God can do, don't you agree?

Grab a hold of Psalms 30:6 which says " And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved. " and wait on God. Prosperity is more than money and material things, it is a state of well being for your spirit, soul and body as well as wealth on multiple levels so don't be moved from your place of prosperity!! He's doing it!

Trash the to-do list!

It's a funny thing, the six month plan, two year plan and five year plan that in most cases never goes as planned---LOL. The success we seek can be achieved when we follow God's plan for our lives. In truth, God has a plan for giving us good success. As we put his business first, putting away our agendas and to-do list

Twitter intentionally or by default?

Some people twitter intentionally and others by default but everyone twitters.

Whether you are on the twitter network or not , you twitter. Your parents twittered and so did their parents. LOL. People have been twittering for years, after all there is nothing new under the sun. Twitter is proving to be more than a social network (it is 3rd in line after Facebook and Myspace); its the place of 140 characters or less that can point to resources, tips, tools, empowerment, connectivity etc.
Like other social media networks it is whatever you make it. Next time you are saying your favorite saying (and we all have them) just remember that you have just twittered--okay, maybe you didn't write it and and maybe it had 142 characters and not 140 but your family and friends have all heard it so often they are now saying it.
Your favorite quote is now just as popular as the many Zig Ziglar, Les Brown and Mother Theresa have released. Are you twittering intentionally or by default?

Embracing Jeremiah's Burden

We talked about how Jeremiah felt that he would forbear and not speak of God due to experiencing rejection from the people. Jeremiah had a challenging task like every prophet does--he had to give the people the word of the Lord and in Jeremiah 19:10-11 he was given instructions by God to break the bottle in the site of the people demonstrating how God would break them in such a way that they could not be put back together again. Remember these were God's people!

It's no surprise Jeremiah wanted to remain silent-- to forbear. To have to deliver such a message of rebuke and to provide a visual demonstration of God's plan for an unrepentant people would certainly cause any of us to want to remain quiet. Despite the difficulty of proclaiming what God had given him, Jeremiah, the weeping prophet obeyed God.

A true prophet of God takes no pleasure in having to deliver God's word of rebuke but understands that doing so will enable the people to repent and be redeemed. Jeremiah's nickname was "the weeping prophet", he carried such a tremendous burden for the people and had a heart for God--a prophet of God will always have a sincere burden for the people.

The cry of Jeremiah was so intense in Jeremiah 20:14-18 that he wished he had not been born. Far to many of God's new testament prophets are concerned with their titles, self-images, being rejected, entourages, media ministry and next money making prophetic conference. Many lack the burden that we we see ribboned throughout the bible from old to new testament. In order to throughly equip (perfect) the saints(Ephesians 4:11) a prophet will need a passion and a burden for equipping; an integral part of this equipping will involve delivering unpopular words to the corporate body of Christ and to individuals. It may not be easy but it is necessary for every prophet.

A prophet that is not willing or ready to deliver the word of the Lord will require more time to mature and should continue to seek God in prayer for growth in their prophetic anointing. A burden for the people also includes a humble obedience to God and obedience to speak the truth in love. This is often challenging but like Jeremiah the prophet understands that without delivering the word the people have no chance ot repent and be redeemed--so obedience is necessary.
