Bringing Later Into Now

The New Year started with a bang for me. My break has officially ended and I’m back in the swing of things, thinking about the many things I’d like to accomplish this year. Everywhere we turn we are hearing that this is the year to get things in order as for me I can say I’ve gotten off to a decent start but still have a long way to travel. I’m not into New Year’s resolutions because I find them to be a poor stewardship and empty promises on my part.

My goal for 2010 is more of HIM and less of me and to apply myself to those things that are behind schedule. To accomplish my goal I’ve had to revamp some things in my home, realign my thinking and just get my drive to finish various projects back. I’m praying for “the finisher’s anointing”. I know that has never been an issue in your life (smile) but on occasion I begin projects that don’t get completed and 2010 is my year to experience forward movement in that area. The projects I don’t complete are my own personal projects—my stuff.

I love how the Lord redeems the time for us but we can’t be laid back and nonchalant towards our assignments thinking we can play catch-up later because later becomes evasive and elusive. 2010 is my year to bring my later into my now. How about you?
