Bypass The Look Likes

I want to share this Tiney Thought with you simply because God is so good to us. If you follow me on Facebook and Twitter you are  aware of God’s grace regarding my brother’s quintuple heart bypass surgery. I won’t bore you with the details; the most important thing is that he came through the surgery, is now awake, talking, walking and in the process of healing and that God did it.

Prior to the surgery God spoke to me that he would bring him through this so I had total peace as we waited for the doctor to come and say it’s over and he is doing well. I expected NOTHING else. My expectations were based on God's promise to me. This makes me think about the many times that we say we are trusting God or believe what he has spoken to us but there remains that little inkling of doubt and fear that lingers in the back of our mind and hearts.

What if we heard God wrong or even worse didn’t hear him at all but our wishful thinking deep in our consciousness caused us to think that God had spoken a promise to us. What if?

In many cases it’s easier to operate in fear than it is to walk in faith simply because fear is generally a natural and first human response but firm faith comes as a result of walking with God and learning to trust him even when what you see with your natural eyes does not agree with what he has promised you.

Even when you are standing on God’s promises, it is the enemies job to introduce fear, doubt, unbelief, negative speech and “what ifs” causing wavering faith—the old up-down, up-down. But you can stand in the face of that adversity knowing that if God said it, it’s a done deal. We have to take God’s promises to us at face value because the truth is many times what is happening around us and what we are ‘seeing’ are not going to align with what God has promised. What we see, think and feel can cause us to nullify a promise. Yes,  we can nullify our own blessings.

No matter what it looks like, keep saying what God said…. Keep believing what he said and get excited about it…BE VERY EXCITED about it even when others try to discourage you  just keep standing on God’s promises. He loves blessing us and revealing himself to us.  Are you ready to be blessed again and again? Then keep trusting him again and again. Yes, just as my brother had a quintuple bypass we are going to have to have a quituple(5) BYPASS and learn to embrace the grace that comes with the promise. Five (5) represents the grace of God, every time God promises you something he also maks the faith available for you to believe his promise . Accept the grace to believeand bypass the look likes; walk in faith. Just another Tiney thought.

Wishing You An Awesome CHRISTmas

I can't help but remember Christmas as a child, it was always special with smells that just warmed you up inside. In my family it was a special time of sharing moreso than giving or receiving presents but we always managed to remove the tape and sneak a peep each year.

One tradition we kept was we got to open one resent on Christmas eve. I didn't continue that tradition with my son because as my son aged he made a Christmas list and was granted three items from his list. As a single parent I had to demonstrate good stewardship and also wanted to instill in my  son the real meaning of Christmas.  It is often said that "Jesus is the reason for the season", but Jesus IS the season; not just CHRISTmas but every season. As we enjoy our time with family and friends we are reminded that the virgin birth must never be pushed aside by brightly colored pakages or people who seek to take Christ out of CHRISTmas---Jesus Is The Season.

I'll be posting random pictures and videos about any and everything over the next week on http://www.njclicks.blogspot.com/ , so visit me there. Have an awesome CHRISTMAS!

When Kicking Is Not An Option

I had an interesting conversation recently, it went something like this” nothing seems to bother you, you might be dying on the inside but if someone needs you, you’re there for them… most people, when something happens they have to shut down and regroup but you’re okay”. Interesting!

2007-2009 has acquainted me with pain and silent screams that I didn’t even know existed. As I continue to walk with God I continue to experience new dimensions that require new wine and for me to be a new wineskin.

It is never my desire to give the impression that I’m superwoman dipped in an armor of steal, I’m not. I have and continue to learn how to receive the innerhealing and refreshing I need to keep moving forward…sometimes it requires a break and at other times taking a break actually ‘breaks’ us down.

I explained that I hurt like everyone else. I feel like everyone else feels. I have learned to take times and seasons of ‘restoration, refreshing and renewal’ as needed and I have learned that sometimes we take spiritual breaks and sabbaticals that aren’t needed. Knowing when to stop and when to keep pressing forward is critical.

One of the things I stress as I mentor women across the globe is to choose your FALLOUTS. I know it’s sounds a little silly but you can’t fall out and have a pity party over everything in LIFE and God doesn’t mind if you have a tantrum occasionally but don’t stay there. As we continue to grow in God we come to understand that it's beneficial to learn how to embrace the good times and the bad times..how to abase and abound and that kicking and screaming in the bad won’t change the situation. Replace that tantrum with prayer and faith…watch God change you IN the situation.

Trust me its not that I’m superwoman; It’s that he keeps changing me IN my difficult situations, he keeps gracing me. He lets me kick and scream when necessary and strengthens me to PRESS forward when kicking is not an option.

SO anyway, that’s just another tiney thought. Choose your FALLOUTS!

Philippians 4:12-13 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Somebody's Watching You!

Somebody's watching you!
With all the news swirling around about Tiger Woods it should be difficult for us not to take a look at ourselves and realize that someone is watching us and things done in the dark eventually come to the light.

One thing I find puzzling is that people are disappointed in Tiger as though he asked them to make him a role model and put him on a pedestal. Eldrick Tont “Tiger” Woods never said he was a morally upright man, he simply asked for privacy and in that privacy he fulfilled the lust of the flesh. Like it or not morals will never bring about the righteousness of God. Was what he did right by God’s standards? Absolutely not!

I think it is wonderful how Tiger’s father guarded him, everyone needs someone but I have to wonder if he also handicapped Tiger by not making him aware that every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
James 1:14.

Why didn’t Tiger’s morals kick into high gear? Why didn’t sirens go off? Why didn’t friends and family sound the alarm bringing “Privacy” to its knees. The general public has many questions that only God knows all the answers to. One thing the Lord has already shared with us is:

1 John 2: 16
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

What happened? Was it that he lost his childhood being a serious golfer at the age of three and is now getting his swerve on? Or that he spiraled after his father’s passing, a father who helped him stay grounded and ward off the many temptations to lust that Tiger was faced with. Whatever the reason lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life have fulfilled their mission in the life of Tiger Woods. That’s Tiger, what about us? Just as someone was watching Tiger someone is watching us, the question now becomes what will be exposed in our lives.

No matter who we are—LUST has a mission. The mission is to conceive, bring sin to us and ultimately bring death to us. NO; not just physical death but mental, emotional, spiritual and psychological death while we are still breathing.

Like Tiger many Christians have requested PRIVACY so they can conduct “private” matters…. But we are in a season of open exposure and judgment by God. There are many believers who would not dare engage in adultery (and just as many who do) who feel they are upright because no one can physically see their unforgiveness and sins of the heart--Someone is watching you.

James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
While the world is busy dissecting the life of Tiger Woods, hoping that morals or the principles of ‘right conduct’ will help us win the fight when there is battle going on inside of each of us----whether Christian or not we must understand that the only safeguard against lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is to delight ourselves in the law of God after the inward man (Romans 7:22)

Church folks might not like it but given the opportunity to have PRIVACY many would find that they have a few things in common with Tiger—Somebody’s watching you. God sees everything!

Tiger is down, but he’s not out! Let’s pray for Tiger and realize ‘privacy’ is a cloak for lust to fulfill its mission.

Precious In You

Precious On YouTube

Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire is a film you need to see!

I had the privilege of watching Precious today,(view YouTube trailer) I wouldn’t suggest it for everyone as it is an emotionally charged movie depicting what is theatre for some but real life for others. There are just as many people still reliving their abuse as there are talking about it and being set free. Precious was what some would term as a “black’ movie but it contained some pivotal truth… welfare and abuse cross cultural lines. It’s not a black thing. Some people are holding onto a painful past to protect others while they are being eaten from the inside out. That’s not God’s plan for HIS people. God never intended for us to be enslaved and imprisoned to our past.

John 8:36
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Freedom from a painful past is a choice. Like Precious you have to come to a place where enough is enough. Will it be easy? No. It’s never easy but it’s always possible with God.

I know many people who have experienced sexual abuse as children or as adults; some have embraced the healing virtue of God and others suffer emotional distress as they flashback to yesterday. You have the power to make the decision not to become captive to yesterday’s memories and pain.

In many ways some people will find themselves far removed from the life of Precious; never abused, financially secure, confident etc. but each of us has an area that we need God to work in and some of us –many areas. Stay tuned for Out Of The Box, our series on being FREE INDEED!

God I Thank You For My Stuff!

Of course it is Thanksgiving and I have so much to be thankful for that I can’t talk about it all here. At the top of my list is Jesus. Traditionally, many find this day to be a day of family, food and a dedicated time to thank God for their many blessings PLUS an opportunity to be off work; let’s not kid ourselves who doesn’t enjoy a day off work—I do.

I’m especially thankful for my salvation. I’m thankful that God in his great love and mercy rescued me from me. I know we’d like to blame it all on the devil and what he did and does but much of our struggle is a struggle with self. I thank God that he has and continues to teach me to yield to the Holy Spirit, even when I have a case of the “I don’t want to” like Jonah, he teaches me how to surrender my will and come into agreement with HIS will for me.
Many Christians will have you believe that they have never had a case of “I don’t want to”. Right! BUT I’m thankful for every experience in my Christian journey. We thank God for the good things but what about the not-so-good things that play a vital role in molding us as believers. Thanksgiving is not only the raising of our hands, hearts, voices of praise and spirit; it is also the adversities that we endure that help us grow up in Christ. Just wanted to say thank you Jesus!

Heart Held High

From @gapmin
While you're holding your head up make sure you let God hold your heart up...a head held high w a low heart aint no good now is it?

Depression and suicide are at an all time high and ranges from the young to the old. Just looking at someone’s smiling face and bubbly personality without discernment could cause us to miss what’s happening on the inside. We have mastered “the look” of being okay and having it all together but many are releasing silent screams. God hears silent screams even when man doesn’t. When you are hurting, feeling low, having the blues and just not the normal you because your spirit is feeling low but you keep holding your head up and have your “I’m okay’ face on don’t forget to let God hold your heart up!

It's an O Thing!

By now you are aware that Oprah may be transitioning to her next season in life, It is a part of the latest media buzz but are you transitioning to your next season in life? Oprah has done and is doing her thing and apparently has insight enough to know when it’s time for change-whether it’s a big change or a little change.
Transitioning is an O thing--as in Over!

We all have to eventually come face to face with change. Some change we have to embrace and allow and other changes are going to happen without our permission. Learning to know (discern) and flow (cooperate) with the various seasons of your life is a must for the person who wants to stay in step with God.

Ecclesiastes 3:1
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

This year has brought me face to face with several who want to bypass their season(s) of being students of the word and go directly to being teachers of the word. We should be lifelong students of the word but the ‘student’ season I’m referring to is one where you learn biblical and scriptural basics—I meet many new Christians and Christians who have been attending church for a lengthy season who just don’t want to take the time to do that. What’s up with that?

Hebrews 5:12 (NIV)
In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food!

Professionally we get training and/or attend college to be skilled at what we do but we do not apply those same principles to our spiritual development—why?

We’ve even fallen into the trap of reading books about the bible more than we read the bible itself. AND attempting to have an effective prayer life with little or no reading of God’s word which is the very substance of our faith.

Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

As we prepare for our NEXT with God it is necessary and beneficial to complete our current season—trying to skip ahead is a formula for a setback. Keep the main thing the main thing and first things first and STUDY of God’s word accompanied by PRAYER is always in season and is always THE season. This is a season for new Christians and ‘old hands’ alike to be refreshed in eating the meat of the word. No matter where you are, God has another level of devotion and promotion for you.

1 Peter 2:2
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

An attitude of spiritual laziness has and is attempting to attach itself to God’s people; if you feel it shake it off! God supplies the ‘filling’ but we have to supply the hunger and thirst. AND getting back to  the basics is God's word of the hour for EVERY believer.

Matthew 5:6
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

It’s a new season--an O thing! Just another tiney thought for ya!

Are You A Christian Addict?

I received a phone call today to pray for someone I have known for over 40 years that has begun using drugs. When I say this person has begun using drugs I mean he has begun using them ‘again’. It has been a vicious cycle of drug addiction for this brother who states he is a Christian and loves God. Some who read this will say if he is drug addict he cannot be a Christian and this post is not about whether or not he is a Christian but about the various addictions that many who say they love God struggle with.

Think about it, every sickness and disease that attacks those who do not say they are disciples of Jesus also attacks those who are disciples. The difference is or should be that the delivering, healing power of God to change the situation should be operative in the life of believer. But is it? What about Christian addicts; no I don’t mean just drug addicts but food addicts, attention addicts, approval addicts, sex addicts, church addicts etc. Yes, church addicts. Church addicts are those people addicted to the habit of ‘all things church’ rather than committed to a true relationship with Jesus Christ. Life for the church addict is going through the motions with my church, my pastor, my denomination, my ministry, my anointing, my purpose and all things out of habit rather than relationship.

To make sure we are on the same page an addict is defined as a person who is addicted to an activity, habit or substance and let’s face it many Christians have activities and habits that they are addicted to.

We often compartmentalize these habits and say this one (such as food addictions) is not as bad as this one (such as drug addiction) but what is God’s perspective since they both harm you?

I know it can be challenging to wrap your mind around the fact many people (Christians included) eat themselves to death but obesity is on the rise and the body of Christ definitely has its contributing percentage to the stats.
Addict also means to habituate or abandon (oneself) to something compulsively.

Some Christians justify their addictions by saying “I’m okay” because their habit does not fall in the category of drugs or sex—the so-called bad addictions. Ladies and Gents ANY ADDICTION IS A BAD ADDICTION. Without a doubt God desires every one of his sons and daughters to be FREE from addiction, no matter what the addiction is. A tiney thought ….njs

Greed Built This House

I did catch a portion of Larry King’s interview with Bishop TD Jakes of the Potter House Dallas, TX . Many topics were addressed including the possibility that prosperity preaching contributed to the housing crisis that we are facing today. What role, if any did prosperity preaching and a “go get your stuff mentality” play in creating the economic downturn we are currently experiencing? Many financially unqualified people were able to secure home loans well above their ability to repay those loans. Ask me how I know; I know this because I was one of those people. Everything on my application was true, nothing falsified and the cost of the mortgage on the new house exceeded the amount that is recommended as a portion of income that should be spent on a mortgage. So why did I do it? I did it because God told me to do it. But God didn’t tell everyone to do it and not all who obtained homes above their means were Christians or were associated with the institution of church. Obviously, lenders and others need someone to blame for the house that greed built.

Would God tell me to get a house I could not afford? He would and He did because it wasn’t a house HE couldn’t afford.

Long story short; I was enjoying a beautiful fifty year old home when in a time of prayer God spoke to me that he would give me a new house. I did not learn till later that the purpose of the house was so I could relocate my totally disabled mother from another state to spend her last years with her children. Despite the fact that I should have been strained financially I wasn’t. God provided over and above all that was needed and I was blessed to care for my mother in her last years.

Greed built the housing crisis. Why did lenders lend so much money to people who did not qualify? Why did they write so many risky balloon payment contracts? Many of those contracts were written without making sure the homeowners understood how enormous their payments would become. And what was the responsibility of those purchasing the homes? Didn't they have the responsibility of making sure they could afford them and that they understood the terms and conditions of the contract they were signing?

We can spend the next twenty years sorting out who is to blame or we can move out of and vacate the house that greed built. Natural houses aren’t the only houses greed has built.. Greed has taken sexual perversion to new heights, greed has impacted our youth, our government, our faith, our communities, our job market--virtually every aspect of our lives. This is just another tiney thought but don’t let greed build your house…...

Here Kitty Kitty!

If you’re an animal lover you’re probably going to hate me for asking the question but inquiring minds want to know! Where do we find owning or having household pets to the extent in which we have them today in the bible? Carla Nash, the woman disfigured by her friends chimp (click here to read) has recently been on the news and a recent story I read about a cat attacking its owners (click here to read) and the family that has gone 'hog wild' by relocating (click here to read) in order to keep its pet pig prompts this tiney thought.

There are some countries in which certain animals are considered sacred, but this post isn’t about them it’s about us---Christian America. Have we in America gone so far with our love for animals that we have turned them into idols as well? The pet industry makes billions of dollars catering to people’s love for their household pets no matter what kind of pet it is.And it's absolutely true you can train them to do amazing things...but they are still pets, right? Cats and dogs seem to top the list but the extent people go to and through regarding their pets makes you wonder if we’ve gone to far and what does God have to say about this? Some Christians love animals more than they love other people. Other races and other cultures etc.
If my husband didn’t travel frequently we’d have a dog and I’m certain he’d pamper it and baby it and it would be spoiled rotten but here’s a hard question—were our beloved cats and dogs intended to be a part of God’s food chain for us? I am absolutely fascinated by God’s creativity in creating animals with so much intelligence, the things animals do amaze me. I don’t know anything about dogs but I’m trying to find out where I can see one of those little tea cup sized dogs, they’re so cute.

By the way, if you followed this post from Twitter  or Facebook don’t unfollow me just because I’m asking a question-LOL.

People run back into burning homes, go into deep depression, spend billions of dollars on their pets while many humans in our country are starving and homeless. I’m not saying it’s wrong to have pets; I’m asking your thoughts on what if anything does the bible say about pets. Have we as american culture turned ‘pets’ into idols? We have entire organizations dedicated to animal rights while at the same time we struggle to master human rights and equality. Definitely something we need to take to God in prayer…. Just another tiney thought.

Death First!

I am always inclined 2say "Life and Death" but d actual verse says "DEATH & LIFE"... we have 2 die 2self B4 we LIVE in Christ... Prov 18:21

I am inclined to say Life and Death are in the power of the tongue but the verse says death and life are in the power of the tongue-when you really think about it we have to die to our desires before we can truly LIVE in Christ. We talk often about speaking life to ourselves but we omit or conveniently forget that self has to die daily. The same tongue that is used to speak LIFE should be the same tongue that says to YOU its time to DIE to my will and be alive to the will and purpose of God for my LIFE.

More of HIM and less of me is my prayer.

Impacted Anybody Lately?

I had a wonderful time today celebrating the Christ in my mother-in-law Margie, she’s truly beautiful inside and out. Although it was a birthday celebration there was a time of sharing our testimonies. It’s so important to share where God has brought us from…. Many shared regarding the impact Margie (I call her mom) has had on their lives. One lady shared how Margie’s testimony caused her to want to pray for God to show her herself and by doing so she has seen change in her life. Yes, change. To often Christians forget that transformation is God’s desire for us . Just saying we are Christians and going through ‘outward’ motions that make us look religious and pious is not God’s plan for us. The transformation that he desires for us is an inward work that shows up on the outside.
Superficial change is just that; superficial change. Surface level change never last and never elevates us to that place of knowing that we are growing in Christ.
What does it mean to be transformed? To be changed? To look at the real you and see the changes God has made IN you?
Transformed? Transformed in simple terms is metamorphoo  and it means to change into another form, to transform, to transfigure and this is what God is expecting us to do. The process of metamorphoo is the same process a caterpillar goes through to become a beautiful butterfly. I'm not going to go into the process of becoming a beautiful butterfly because there is plenty of info available on Google. LOL
I just want to know what does it say when we say we are Christians yet we never ask God to show us ourselves so that we can become more like Christ ourselves and have impact on others?

Going Through Is Just That

I guess I don’t need to tell you that I haven’t blogged for a while now, right? You can also visit me at http://www.njstevenson.blogspot.com/ and http://www.twittistry.blogspot.com/. Since April 2009 I have not had full range of motion in my left arm, in October I had surgery to try to regain range of motion. As much physical pain as I am experiencing I am reminded daily of the many people around the globe that live in pain. Not just physical pain but spiritual and emotional pain also. Many times as we are going through our process of growth we think we are having it hard until we meet someone who is having it harder. Think about it, I’m sure you are going through something …..
And on occasion what we are experiencing is referenced as a “light affliction” but it doesn’t feel so light when you are the one going through it. People often say God won’t put more on you than you can bear, I disagree. I think God won’t put more on you than HE can bear. Anything that comes your way you can handle THROUGH Jesus.
There are just some things in life whether you are a Christ follower or not that have to be endured. Through much prayer we come to a place of peace in the things that we have to face and we face them in strength, emerging with the victory. You can go through and come out alright or not. Your choice. Jus another tineythought.

OMG Sexting!

#whenwewereyoung there was no such thing as "sexting".They are thinking about suing u if ur child sends nude pics of themselves...

It's rare that I get in on a trending topics on Twitter, for the most part they just aren't my kind of topics but #whenwewereyoung was trending yesterday and I have lots to share about that--boy do I! I happended to be watching a news broadcast that was sharing about sexting...by the way it's new to me. Just the thought that a child would send nude or exposing photos of themselves with the same ease of an email or text message blows my mind. Body parts used to be covered but it's the norm to show it all..no need for showNtell. Seriously, young ladies...what would make you photograph yourself or anyone else and send it off like you are America's top rated porn star. Be carful you just might end up being an unwilling porn star as others transfer your 'hot pics' all across the world and parents beware they are seriously considering bringing legal action against you if your child engages in sexting. Some say that's wrong while others say it's straight up pornography. Whatever it is I know it wasn't around and wasn't an issue #whenwewereyoung.

Prayer Tugging

I’ve spent the last week beginning my recovery process after having surgery, its going. As much as I’d love to write I needed to rest my body and my mind and just be refreshed. So here I am with so much I could write about today but I won’t. I’m still resting but was sparked to thinking after reading of a Twitter connections’ search for God as he goes through a divorce after seventeen years. More than anything hearing him say that God spoke to him “I have you” was the one thing that makes me flashback to some of the many trials and adversities the Lord has brought me out of. I’ve reached a point in my life where just those words alone are all I need. Sometimes I had no idea where God was’ I couldn’t feel him or see him. He didn’t seem to be talking at all.

Earlier in my walk I needed to hear him, to feel him to be assured that he was there, but now I just know he’s there. There is always that situation or those situations I should say that cause us to forcefully grow up into knowing that he’ll never leave us or forsake us. They push us out of comfort zones and leave us in a place of certain uncertainty. What we thought we knew we no longer know, things we were once familiar are gone and replaced with the unfamiliar. Interestingly enough we all have to travel this road, some of us travel it soon than others. As unraveling as it is it’s a part of God’s plan to bring us to a place in Him that we sometimes think we already know but haven’t even begun to experience yet. OH just a reminder, this blog is not and won’t be niched…

My heart is in prayer for those hurting. Hopfully you as God's servant are feeling his tug to pray even more as the holiday season which is also a season with a high rate of suicide approaches. People everywhere are broken for various reasons, some God has some he doesn’t. Not because he doesn’t want to have them but because they have rejected him. I am compelled to pray for them also. Aren’t you?

Cobra or Python?

Just sitting thinking and reviewing a question God posed to me prior to election time. It was a question that literally shock me to the core. Like many of you I pray for our nation; that we will be a nation of repentance putting God first. Are we headed in the right direction?

God’s word is clear to those who have an ear to hear what the spirit is saying to the church. I want to share with you a question the Lord asked me August 20, 2008. Here it is:

The question is: If you had a choice (and the choice can't be neither) which snake would you choose to live your life with? I mean in your house, around your children, on your job etc.... a Cobra or a Python?

Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

Touchdown Jesus

I’m not a sports fan, definitely not football but I enjoyed and was blessed at the Cotton Bowl, Dallas yesterday. It was refreshing to see a focus on Christ. The invocation was wonderful and a liturgical dance was presented by a mixed group of dancers from churches across the Dallas area. NOW that’s Ephesians 4:16 being demonstrated—a body fitly joined together. We as a collective body must return to God, back to the basics, and back to having Christ as of the foundation of our lives. It was a tremendous blessing to see him welcome and celebrated at the Prairie View A&M-vs-Grambling State University game. ~njs

~Praying For Impact

Visit me on www.twitter.com/gapmin or on

There is much praying going forth, some of it effectual and some not. Many have stopped praying in discouragement because they are not seeing manifested results or at least not seeing results in the manner and the time in which they would like. Our prayers must be prayed for impact. When I say impact I’m not talking about praying with the ‘gimme attitude”. Although prayer is a petition of asking we cheat ourselves out of the power of power when we limit it to entreating God for stuff and things. When I talk about praying for impact I’m speaking of seeing results IN you. Many times the answer to your prayer is not a changed situation but a changed YOU in the situation.

We often enter praying knowing what we want and never asking God what he wants for us or how he desires a situation to conclude for us. Yes, I know his way of concluding things isn’t always what we would like to happen but he knows the end from the beginning.

1 John 5:14-15 brings us to a greater understanding:
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
If we want our prayers to produce something we have to align them with God’s will. When we don’t know God’s will, we have to ask and when we’ve asked and feel as though God is not answering we have to patiently wait.

Praying for impact is praying for influence and effect. What influences God? Your faith influences God. God knows the thoughts that he has towards us (Jeremiah 29:11) and they are thoughts of peace, not evil, to give us an expected end. ~njs

Woman Shifters...

I’m thankful that God has placed me In a position to be able to minister to women. I laugh now because around 2003 I was not so happy to have the opportunity. I recall the time when the Lord told me to start ministering to women and finally after much protesting I obeyed. Why I protested nobody knows because with me God always wins.

I’ve been thinking about women and the innate power God gave them to change an atmosphere. When I say “change” that could be positive or negative change. Women are shifters by God’s design. Something happens in the spiritual atmosphere when anyone prays but there’s the mantle of intercession that women seem to carry. Like it or not most of the praying in churches across the globe is being done by women.

I’m reminded of praying women like Hannah and Anna the prophetess, those that prayed for impact. Our contemporary culture calls women like Hannah and Anna Prayer Warriors. Unfortunately too many have adopted this title with little or no manifested fruit. It’s not that prayer moves God so much; it’s that prayers build your faith (Jude) and your faith touches God and is a sweet smell to him. Your faith is something God can work with!
So then, why are there so many faithless prayers going forth? Why are there so many prayers that don’t avail much? It’s an understatement to say they don’t avail much when the pray-er leaves their time of prayer down and out, dragging, doubtful and spiritually bankrupt. Women of God what’s happening?

Expand Me OH Lord!

Start being expansive; Invite the God of "more than enough" to orchestrate every aspect of your life!
Tweet from CalledWoman

Just imagine what could happen in our lives if we took the limits off—NO, not the limits off of God but off of us. What would our lives be like if we operated in levels of faith that made us expansive? Why do we declare our allegiance to THE God of “more than enough” and spend so much time in “not enough”. So contradicting, don’t you agree? It’s time to step it up and start letting God be God in every area. When we don’t have the faith to believe like we should we can ask him to help our unbelief—OH yeah, faith comes by hearing the word of God so if we want that expansive level of faith we’ve got to get THE WORD on the inside of us where it can grow up and EXPAND.

Maybe He Was That Way With You....

Visit Me On Twitter

So I’ve been thinking, imagine that –me thinking. I hear so much about how God loves us so tenderly and how he deals with us in such a loving and tender way and we all know that he loves us but does he deal with everyone ‘gently’ and oh so sweetly? I mean we all have different personalities, temperaments and characteristics. I’m inclined to believe that the Lord meets us where we are individually so we can make kingdom impact collectively.

It may be a newsflash but not everyone is tender—some people only understand sternness. Am I saying God is sometimes stern, direct and to the point with some of his people? Yes, I am. The Lord does not deal with all of his people the same way, he just doesn’t. Ask any person who has more than one child if they deal with their children the same—they love them the same but no doubt their personalities will be different and they will interact with each child according to their personality and growth level.

I love it when children are tender and obedient but my son wasn’t --because he has a very strong evangelistic call on his life and is assigned to go in the ‘hard’ places he was divinely created to be persistent and not easily moved. And boy was he hard to move! I had to interact with him accordingly. That’s how God is with us, he works with us in a way that we can understand and catch a clue. It may feel tender and on the other hand it may not but God’s not boxed so he is able to move by his spirit in interacting with us. ~njs

Tell Me The Truth

Recently the Lord has been impressing on me in a very strong way concerning the growing trend for encouragement. In this down turned economy who wouldn’t want to be encouraged? In the midst of all the encouragement God wants to remind us that his ultimate desire is for us to come to repentance. Prophetically speaking the atmosphere is charged with a prophetic utterance here and one there all speaking of the shift, release and fulfillment of God’s promises for your life and for this season.

Today’s prophetic climate reminds me of the climate found in Ezekiel 13. Everyone is crying Peace, Peace in a time when God also wants to warn his people. In the midst of this economic downturn God wants us to return to him.
The message of and the call to repentance remains the same as it was in the days of captivity for God’s people. This is not encouraging you might say, but it is! God loves us enough to remind us that no matter what’s going on around us he is more concerned about what’s going on in us. ~ProphetessN

Please Affirm Me

PPL may neva undrstand where u R coming from , don't exert all ur energy trying to get them to...do what God ask & h/w take care of d rest.
TWEET from @gapmin

WOW, 2009 seemed to fly by so quickly. Soon everyone will explore and talk about their resolutions and goals for 2010. Many of the 2009 goals remain unmet and will roll forward into our 2010 wish list. I can never forget that many in The Body of Christ did not go forward and activate their God given purpose because they did not get confirmation and AFFIRMATION from friends and family. Some people feel like no one understands them or where they are coming from so rather than rock the boat, challenge falsehoods, upset the family or appear to be insane they do nothing. When we do nothing God’s purpose for our lives goes unfulfilled.

Trying to get the approval of man when God has already given us the ultimate approval does not bear fruit. You have all the approval you need-HIS! Just do what he ask you to do, launch out in obedience to Jesus and he will take care of the rest. He will!

Any1 have a Mall Map?

Tweet from @gapmin
Do you know where you are or would one of those mall signs saying "you are here" be helpful?

That's so crazy! I'm not lost or am I? I don't mean lost as in out of fellowship with God but in that place where you are saying to yourself "what's next"? And you are waiting for directions. The whole tick-tock thing is playing out before you--TICK TOCK.

Maybe, one of those mall signs would be helpful. LOL. You know the one that says 'you are here' and then has clear maps to help get you to your next stop. If only it were that easy, right? It is that easy and trust me this is coming from someone who is directionally challenged to the point where you have to go basic TURN RIGHT, TURN LEFT with me. Yes, I'm being serious. That whole east-west thing will get me lost everytime. LOL.

God has a "mall map" for us and we can access it through His word accompanied by prayer. It works. It will get you there. You aren't lost. YOU ARE HERE! Now, follow the map to your NEXT!

The Fuse Box

Tweet from @gapmin
I'd blow a fuse trying to understand HOW and WHY about God and I only have one good fuse left..... LOL

I'm the first to admit that God blows me away with how he does things, so I've learned to just trust him. Besides that what else can I do because NOT trusting him is not an option for me. Is it an option for you? I would definately blow a fuse trying to figure it all out, so I don't. I'm certain you've experienced that before , who hasn't? I've got one good fuse left and I'm going to keep it working-LOL. Trusting God is one of those things we GROW up in. Even then, most of us have our moments don't we? As I always say, it may not be easy but it is necessary. Tweet ya later!

Get Morphed!

Tweet from @gapmin
Being a Christian is more than going to church, good deeds, quoting scriptures and being pious....BE TRANSFORMED!

First I want to thank all of my followers and give a shout out to my new followers hereby called "newbies". We officially passed 1100 followers and I'm feeling some tweet-joy! Speaking of joy, it is our transformation into the likeness and image of Christ that brings true joy. I know this is a hard truth but all of our church going, good deeds, scripture quoting and religious behavior doesn't make us a Christian. God is so interested in helping us be transformed-metamorphed into the image of his Son. BTW, you won't be transformed overnight. This tweet was retweeted nine times, so a shout out to the retweeters. Check out the twitter profiles for: @samgisyer, @cecilchaney, @iAMwAvYy, @bretta75 , @faithgoddess7 , @quintinwashingt, @dYmOnDsTuDdEd, @infinitegal, @williamdknight. Great Tweeters! Eatin from the Nside

Tweet from @gapmin
How the enemy uses U to destroy U: 99% of the things U worry abt never happen. Worry is the self inflicted toxin that eats from inside out.

I would use the phrase "it's funny how..." but I won't because it's not so funny how the enemy sits back and allows us to self destruct. We know all the quotes and scriptures about worry yet we do it. I've heard if said "that is the human side of me", well maybe our human side is dictating our lives far more than it should be. After all, aren't we walking in the spirit?

It's a very powerful strategy the enemy is using where he sits back, introduces circumstances and situations that are typical occasions to worry and we jump right in and do his job for him ...on OURSELVES. Here's a few thoughts:

One person committs suicide by a gun
One person committs suicide by pills
One person committs suicide by slicing wrist
One person committs suicide by a heartattack induced by worry

Yes, I know it is presented in a different light. They are all self INFLICTED forms of inducing death...worry is just a slower process. Be anxious for nothing but in everything make your request known unto God. Can we do that? This is definately an ouch moment for me, so OUCH!

You Can Stop Wrestling Now!

Tweet from @gapmin
Don't waste your time wrestling with him, Jesus defeated him and took the keys of authority, GO GET UR KEYS!

Seriously, I think we spend a lot of time wrestling with the enemy for what's already been given to us. Is it because we don't know the keys of authority have been given to us or because we don't know what to do with the keys? Probably a little bit of both huh? Well, one thing is for sure it's time to stop wresting and go get your keys! as belivers we talk a lot about walking in our God given authority but truthfully .......

Don't take this negative, it's not. We have to take an honest look at ourselves in light of the Word. And personally I want God to shine the light of the word in my life and show me ALL the areas that I need to allow him to work in. That's the only way I'm going to be able to walk in my authority. We have a kingdom authority that's already operative; using it is another issue altogether. Tweet ya later!

The Fight Is On!

Wow, it's been about two weeks since I have posted on this blog, not good huh? Okay, I took a little break but I'm back now. I'm devoted to praying some family situations through this season and it's no small task. When has it ever been a small task, right? Most likely something is brewing in your life also, something you have to pray diligently about. For me right now --FOCUS-- is the word.

I am assured of one thing in this season and that is that Jesus is with me. There is so much I would like to do in this moment. As much as I love to write I have had "writer's block" of sorts. I'm really considering that the trying of our faith works patience, OH BOY, do I really want patience? I do, so i'm up for the challege. Are you?

I've learned many things in my walk with the Lord and the more I learn the more I realize how little I know but I am anchored in the foundational truth that no matter what is happening, no matter what it looks like, no matter what the enemy says, no matter who sides with the enemy; Jesus has my back.

The struggles that have been the most challenging in my life for me personally and for my family members are mostly rooted in 'generational propensities'. So the fight is on! I'll leave it there for now, simply to say.... "The fight is on! "
OH yeah, we have over 900 followers on our twitter, click here to join us. see you there.

Agent Double 0 7

Tweet from @ gapmin
I wish my Twitter profile had some "James Bond" type features for spammers.

No, I won't take it back. I wish I had some of those built in gadgets and gizmo's James Bond-Agent 007 (that's double 0 7) had. I'd use them on the spammers that like to follow me on twitter. NO, I'm not interested in your hot shots! Plus, I'm thinking about how Jesus dealt with the 'spammers' of his day, you know the pharisees and the sad-U-see groupies. There they were always up to something ungodly, trying to spam Jesus' name or make him look bad or destroy the anointing. A nice trap door in the floor of my Twitter profile for spammers would be so great, just open it and poof, there they go. But instead I'm going to pray for them .... and let them spam their little hearts out! But I still haven't ruled out some kind of gadget ....

Yes, laughter does me good like medicine. Many Blessings!

Second Opinions

I love watching God do what he does and in this tweet he is speaking through Rev Young, check her out on Twitter @http://twitter.com/ispeakhiswords . Blessings!
"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."Deuteronomy 8:3

Jesus knew the value of the words that came from his Father. He ate each one as if his soul depended upon it. He told his disciples, "I live by the Father" (Jn. 6:57), and then he told them, "He who eats me shall live by me", and "Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you have no life in you" (Jn. 6:53). Jesus speaks for God; his words are God's words being passed along to us.
We need "second opinions" only when we are being tended to by a doctor who is "practicing medicine". Jesus doesn't practice medicine. Whatever the "great physician" prescribes is always exactly right the first time because he only says what his Father tells him to say. If Jesus speaks to you, don't ask someone else for a second opinion.
"The words of God are pure words", wrote David, "as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times" (Ps. 12:6). There are no impurities in anything God says because there are no influences on His Spirit. You can trust your soul to anything that comes out of His mouth without reservation and in complete confidence that you are entirely right (in doing what He says to do) because he is right.
Genuine faith understands that being directed by God is precious and that the course taken at His direction is perfect. Faith also knows that anyone who opposes the path God chooses must be wrong, and that the man or woman who walks on that holy path can only be right. There are no other options.
Referring to her son Jesus, Mary told the servants at the wedding in Cana, "Whatsoever he says to you, do it!" She was telling those servants, in effect, "Do not ask for a second opinion. The Great Physician has spoken." What kind of advice do you suppose those servants would have gotten if they had asked any other person on earth, "Do you think we ought to pour water into those six pots and then serve it as wine to the wedding guests?"
What kind of counsel do you suppose Noah would have received if he had asked any man on earth, "Do you think I ought really to build an ark?"
And what opinions do you suppose that Jesus would have received if he had asked his disciples, "Do you think I ought to allow men to torture and kill me?"
When God has spoken, it is dangerous to ask for second opinions. God is right! If He speaks to you, just be thankful. Obey His word as quickly as you can so that you can attain to the reward as quickly as you can, and do not ask for a second opinion. There is only one God.

Tweeking Ambiance

Tweet from @CalledWoman
Be such a light that when you walk into a room the ambiance changes.

Rarely am I at a loss for words but this does bring tears to my eyes and capture my words. I don’t know what to say except to reflect on God’s word and let it speak for itself.

Luke 11:33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.

Matthew 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

He's Preparing Your Pathway

Tweet from @gapmin
Some things you counted as a "lost" was God removing spiritual blockages out of your path to purpose, let it go!

Okay be patient with me because this is just one of those things that’s challenging to talk about. Who hasn’t lost something and then felt bad or mourned over what they lost? I’m sure we all have but some of us have also realized later that what we thought we lost was a ‘move of God’ to get us prepared to go further with him. Let’s face it, some things in our lives hold up progress and by things I include people. NO, I’m not saying that people are things so don’t get all knotted and chocked up. LOL.

What I’m saying is there are people, jobs, habits, and stuff that God has to shift out of our path of purpose if we are to arrive at our destiny. I’m not going to ask you if you want to arrive at your place of destiny because I know you do, I just know it.

There are some things that we felt we have lost but God moved it so we could go forward of course we don’t find this out until later. So now that we know we will view it differently not counting it as a loss but a strategic move of and by God because we are about to go forward. That’s cause for a celebration don’t you think? Embrace what God does so you can get what God has.--- OH boy, that was a tweet also huh? Don’t forget to comment. Blessings!

Niched Ain't New

Tweet from @gapmin
Jesus was niched, his nich was souls. BUT he did other things also. Ultimately all roads lead back to his nich---> Souls.

All the marketing craze these days is about being niched and it may come as a surprise to some but being niched is not new, Jesus did it. True my Twitter profile is totally UNiched by some standards but it all leads back to my true niche--Jesus.
Jesus was so diverse that he pulled all of his 'giftedness' (for lack of a better word) and anointing into flow with his niche of SOULS and that's what we need to do. Jesus taught us niching long before the marketing gurus came on the scene.
Okay, I have to talk about me here, I'm a minister of the gospel who has a passion for the Lord, art, speaking, photography, music etc. I am diverse and just love living the life the Lord gave me but ultimately all that I do comes back to me serving God. Every photo I take, every painting I paint are all God inspired and for his glory. That's my niche-Jesus. What's yours?

Celebrating over 500 followers!

Tweet from @gapmin
Will my 500th follower be a spammer? tick -tock, tick- tock

I'm pleased to announce we now have over five hundred followers on our gapmin Twitter and we appreciate each and every follower. Connecting with godly and wonderful new connections is a great thing. This ignites my passion to see souls come to the Lord. If we can connect for Twitter we can connect for Christ. Ephesians 4:16 is one of my favorites--I love being "fitly joined". I had to take this opportunity to celebrate Jesus and to celebrate you. BTW, I know it's not official twitter language but I'm unboxed and as long as I'm using twitter I have coined a tweep term that I love, feel free to use it. Spread the word. Ready? here it is --- #followJesus.

I am stuck on bandaids!

Tweet from @calledwoman
I used 2 try to fix things myself, took me a while but I finally learned that my actions R bandaids & God's actions are final solutions!

Seriously, I was controlled by unbelief and wanting things to be perfect. If it was broke (in my opinion) I tried to fix it and of course I had my own way of fixing it. My way didn't work, but I kept on trying. I was getting nowhere, absolutely nowhere! This went on for years until one day as I sat working on a teaching series the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said "that's enough" and I was set free.
I was made FREE INDEED.

Remember the jingle from the commerical that said "I am stuck on bandaids brand cause bandaids stuck on me?" What would it take for us to stop being stuck on bandaids and turn it over to God?" After all we have tried to fix things ourselves for years and haven't seen positive results so why do we keep trying to put a bandaid on our life issues when what we need is a God-solution?

Stop being stuck on bandaids, let God fix it once and for all!

The Off Switch!

Tweet from @gapmin
Father, I silence the noise, the chatter & the negative speech that has come 2 kill, steal & destroy ur promises in the lives of ur ppl.

Everywhere you go there is noise, even in environments that should be quiet. Today's fast paced environment where people are "plugged in" (phones, mp3 players, computers, TV, other media etc..) almost 24/7 make it easy for the enemy to distract us with noise that drowns out the voice of God. There is a place of quiet calm where God speaks in a still small voice (1 King 19). God is speaking, he is giving us direction, strategy, comfort, and building faith but the volumn of noise, chatter and negative speech seeks to drown out the voice that delivers the promises of God.

The easiet thing to do is turn off any noice that interfers with hearing God's voice, that includes the noise other people make. Want to hear God with clarity, hit the OFF switch.

I'm Not Going Back!

Tweet from @gapmin
Live life like going back is not an option, it will create a consistent momentum of forward movement!

Who doesn't want to go forward? We all do and we can! Remove the option of going back to the past; to old habits, behaviors and lifestyles and you'll create a momentum of forward movement in your life. AND God will have your back! He's a God of growth, change and progression and he removes the past as far from you as the east is from the west. If you have found yourself in a pattern of taking one step forward but two steps backward--move backward as an option and just keep pressing full force ahead. Besides, if what's behind you was so great you would not have left it in the first place. Go ahead, put one foot in front of the other and PRESS for the mark of the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus.

Seven Pounds Tweeked

Since Seven Pounds with Will Smith is last year's release I assume you all have seen it. I rarely watch television or movies, it's just not my thing. BUT I enjoyed seven pounds, the storyline was great. By the way this is not a critique of the movie, I'll leave that for the media guru's.

In case you haven't watched it let me make a long story short, Ben Thomas (Will Smith) causes a car accident in which his wife and six other people die because he was using a cell phone and veered into oncoming traffic. Riddled with guilt and a broken heart he sets off to be a giver by seeking sick people in need of organs and plans suicide so that his organs can be donated to those in need. In the course of locating the recipients who would receive the organs he falls in love with a woman with congential heart failure but the doctors report for her is grim. Ben Thomas uses a deadly jelly fish to committ suicide. His organs are given to those has willed them to and the story ends happily ever after---NOT.

I actually enjoyed the movie but would like an opportunity to tweek the storyline just a little bit and inject some hope and the healing power of God. Ben Thomas was riddled with guilt, knowing the accident was caused because he was fumbling with a cell phone and lost control of the vehicle . Let's be real, any one of us would be devastated after such a tragedy but is God able to mend our broken hearts and release us from guilt and condemnation?
Suicide as a good deed; hummnn. Doing good things for good reasons but the wrong way is not a God-thing, or is it? How many people committ suicide as a good deed because they feel hopeless, helpless and a burden to someone else? And what is God's perspective on these good deeds? What we do, why we do it and how we do it all matter. The movie suggest that Ben Thomas' act of suicide is honorable and worthy of praise. What are your thoughts? Is this opening a spiritual doorway of thought whereby we become more 'open' to suicide as a means of ecape?

The power of 140!

@ gapmin
Untweeted--The 140 Prayer

This modern day of technology presents us with communication challenges among families, communities, in churches etc. How will our fast paced keep it short mentality impact our prayer lives. Will we tweet our prayers to God? Toss a '140' prayer in the air as we head off to a day of work and play? Is the 140 a step up or a step down in your prayer life?

The underlying principle of the 140 prayer was around long before Twitter came on the scene, people have prayed short and to the point prayers for years. These prayers have had kingdom impact and in some cases have proven to be effectual fervant prayers that avail much.

Let's flip the script, there is the 140 prayer that is abbreviated, thoughtless, heartless and mere words said for the sake of saying "I pray". What can we do in 140? Can we glorify God, praise him , encourage and lift each other up? That's the power of 140! What will you do with it? Tweet powerfully, tweet sincerely. tweet prayerfully and watch the power of the 140!

Mama Close The Door is coming soon!

Visit us on the web at http://talkshoe.com/tc/23195

Stay tuned for the launching of a new teaching that mirrors our "Out Of The Box!" series and will help to prepare us to help our loved ones (children, husbands, family members etc.) break free of generational bondage even if they are not professing Christians. This can pose a specific challenge as we attempt to explain spiritual matters to those who are not currently walking with God.

1 Corinthians 2:10-14 gives us insight:
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Although our series is Mama Close The Door you'll find it INpowering, practical and useful for being an agent of change in any arena. The wisdom of God will illuminate the biblical principles that can be applied to help us share the gospel with anyone to bring them to a place of salvation and being FREE INDEED. Lord, I need a way out!

@gapmin
Dead end or seeming 1 way streets R disguised opportunities 4 U to trust God 2 do what U cannot & create a way of escape 4 U.

Raise your hand if you haven't been in a place in your life where you didn't know what to do next or how to do it and it seemed you had run into a brick wall, journeyed down a one way street or stumbled into a dead end? I didn't think I would get many raised hands on that one, did you?
We've all experienced it and brace yourself because we will experience it again; but the good news comes in knowing that with every opportunity that 'appears' hopeless God steps in and makes a way of escape for us. He's just that kind of God!

1 Corinthians 10:13 catapults us to a whole new level in believing God for our way of escape; even when we are tempted he steps in and does not allow us to be tempted above what each individual is able to bear. No matter where you are in this journey called life -dead ends and one ways are excellent opportunities for God to show you who he really is. Your answer, your way of escape and your next step depend on you trusting him; they are just disguised opportunities for him to be Jehovah Nissi in your life. Blessings!

He's Doing It!

This tweet is from @calledwoman
We are watching God do what only He can do; healing the sick, lifting heavy hearts and speaking life to lifeless situations!

I've been watching the many prayer request come in from all over the place, there is one thing we all have in common--needs. Everyone needs something. No, I'm not speaking of the things we want but those 'needed' things. And of course our needs are as diverse as we are but no matter what we need the source of getting that need met is Jesus. He's in the need meeting buiness..whether you need something for your business, you life or family, your spirit, soul or body know that God has your back.

Yes, I know it appears he is not going to do it or that it is taking a long time but be patient, it's coming! There are some things we need done that only God can do, don't you agree?

Grab a hold of Psalms 30:6 which says " And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved. " and wait on God. Prosperity is more than money and material things, it is a state of well being for your spirit, soul and body as well as wealth on multiple levels so don't be moved from your place of prosperity!! He's doing it!

We are excited to present some food from thought from the calledwoman twitter feed. ProphetessN wrote the tweet but CalledWoman Debby Marin expounds it so beautifully. INJOY!

Tweet: Some daring people take calculated risk, other daring people defy the calculations!

We can not truly live and walk in the spirit, trusting God and not be willing to risk it all. Calculations are unimportant; rubbish to the spirit. The only thing of importance is what God says.
Risk takers who trust God appear to the world as wacky people who make poor choices because they don’t seek the things of the world, they seek the things of God!

The consequences and rewards of taking risk are far greater than playing it safe. If we want to see God work exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think we have to walk out on a limb with Him, not sit at the foot of the tree.

Jesus risked it all but look where he’s at! He knew what he would have to endure before his accusers ever apprehended him. Jesus told his disciples he would be raised from the dead yet other than God’s word, he had no real proof that would happen! He was just like us, yet he chose to put all of his faith in God and His words. He risked it all for the glory set before him and being the firstfruits he is seated at the right hand of the Father.

It’s not always about being absent of fear, it’s about taking that leap despite our fears. Many times, I’ve done God’s will while I was trembling with fear! Yet once I completed the task, my fear was gone and I had moved to a higher level of faith.

Prophetic Liberties

What an awesome time for the people of God who are aligned to hear and obey the voice of the Lord. The last few weeks have been a great time of celebration for G.A.P. Ministries as we were instruments of sending forth labourers to the harvest fields. I am convinced that many forget the five ascension gifts mentioned in Ephesians 4 are gifts to the body of Christ with a specific assignment to bring the body to a place of being throughly equipped (perfected) for God's harvest fields.

A few thoughts stem from the events of the past week concerning maintaining prophetic order. I have met more prophets who operate in zeal to prophesy than I have those who are seasoned and mature and understand timing and facilitation of delivering a prophetic release. We are not comissioned to release (say) everything we hear or see at the very moment we hear or see it. Timing is key.
Never take prophetic liberties. Many prophets are 'swept away' with their kingdom authority thinking it gives them the right to prophesy to and also lay hands on anyone if the unction arises. I make it a practice to ask permission to speak and release if I have not been given the implied liberty or an open door of opportunity.
As an example I was in a new ministry setting recently and I purposely do not go into setting seeking to prophesy, having something dynamic and wow-ing to say. I was there to receive the spoken word like all other attendees. At the end of the service I was asked (catch that) to come and speak. I released God's utterance and took my seat. End of Story.
I did not take the liberty to lay hands on the pastor and his wife and go throughout the congregation laying hands on the members to demonstarte 'my power and authority' nor did I continue to speak after God had stopped speaking to try to show that I am accurate, deep or wonderful and can hear like no one's business. As servants and labourers we are charged by the Holy Spirit to do all things in an order that brings glory to God and edifies the recipient. Far to many prophets take liberties that neither God or his people have granted to them. This causes confusion and in today's teminology turns many off from the prophetic release that God desires them to have.

How much of what you know do you know?

@Calledwoman
Whether life, business or ministry we will find that we only know half of what we know.....the other half is a work in progress.

I've been talking about and hearing a lot about having a teachable spirit and I totally agree we must be life learners. I have crossed paths over the last few months with some anointed know-it-alls. People that have all the answers and the insight for themselves and everyone they come in contact with. The longer we live on this earth the more it will be revealed to us that we only know about half (if that) of what we 'think' we know. Life is a process of learning, and I don't mean just learning good things and what to do. It is also learning what not to do and God has some very creative ways of helping us learn life lessons.

Be slow to speak and quick to hear and watch God give you wisdom in various areas (James 1:19). Never under estimate anyone! A person with a teachable spirit is open to hear from God as he speaks to their heart but also as he speaks through people. Sometimes he even speaks through someone you really don't care to have him speak through...don't get pious, it happens!

There is always something to learn and a new experience to be had and sooner or later the revelation hits that you are learning what you thought you knew..LOL. We only know half of what we know.
